About Exercise Bikes Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions, exercise bikes continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same aerobic benefits of riding a bicycle at any time, in any weather, without leaving the comfort and safety of home. Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no balance or coordination, and can provide an effective workout for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. While the same could be said for a number of other types of home fitness equipment, the exercise bike is one of the few that allows you to watch television or read a magazine while you work out. For many people, having convenient access to quality exercise equipment is critical to sticking with a long-term exercise program.

Great Bike and Reasonable priced! January 23, 2010 DeEdra Arrington (Manhattan) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am a very feminine woman and was able to assemble this bike myself. I wanted to avoid the outrages assembly charge so I just simply rolled up my sleeves and read the instructions. The instructions were very simple and the pictures clearly outlined the parts to assemble. In the beginning there was a clicking noise when pedaling but it must have been the bike adjusting itself because it left within 3 workouts. It has been a month now and the bike gives a great workout. It has pre-programmed workouts or you can just start pedalling for the manual setting. I choose the manual program and increase the resistance to give me an excellent workout. If you need to cool down during your workout the fan works well. What's great is that I can already see changes in my legs and that's my goal. The price was excellent at less than $300 and it doesn't take much space. I would recommend the ProForm 280 CSX Upright Bike to all.
Good bang for the bucks January 30, 2010 Simon Mall (Jacksonville, FL) The upright Pro-Form is a great piece of equipment. It was complicated for me to put it together, to be exact two complete hours of my time. No recommended for petite women due to the high chair even in the lowest position. But, it does the work for those people that are looking for a way to workout in front of T.V. without too much trouble. The seat could use more padding, not comfortable at all. Delivery was fast.
Love it! July 1, 2010 in His grip Product was very easy to assemble. Easy to use. The back display is hard to see and when the batteries go down, it's impossible. I don't like that I have to buy batteries for the bike to display, figured it plugged in. Seat is comfy, pedals are smooth and it is great for those who have knee problems! I would recommend!
Pro-Form 280 December 28, 2008 Edward Stein (Rockford, IL) 5 out of 9 found this review helpful
It's great.. No damages shipping.. assembly instructions were clear, assembly was easy... It's performed very well in the 3 weeks I've been using it.
Ok, but uncomfortable. February 20, 2010 J. Dejesus (NY, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Nice features and good quality. However, it is quite uncomfortable. It doesn't provide an enjoyable workout experience due to uncomfortable seat and insufficient clearance between seat and console. Could use a redesign.
